Born and raised in the hot desert plains of Tucson, Arizona, Nick started playing the game of golf in the summer before he started high school and fell in love with the game. He played for the 4 years while he was in high school and then decided he wanted to pursue a career in the golf industry so in the year 2000 Nick became a golf professional and began teaching the game at the Davis Monthan Air Force base golf course in Tuesday, Arizona.
"Teaching military members and their families how to play the game was really rewarding. I felt good to give back to our service men and woman even if only in this small way" says Nick.
After spending his whole life in Tucson, Nick moved to Scottsdale, Arizona in 2010 to continue his golf career. "I worked at a private club in North Scottsdale called Desert Mountain. This club and the people were amazing, but it didn't take long for me to realize that I was tired of the Scottsdale heat."
In 2012 Nick took a leap of faith and sold all his belongings, quit his job in the golf industry, and headed to Hawaii with just 2 suitcases to pursue a life in paradise.
"I felt confident that with my experience and passion for serving others, I would be able to find a good fit pretty quickly. I wasn't sure if I wanted to stay in the golf industry or try something new but before I could put much thought into it an opportunity opened at the Ko Olina Golf Club. I pursued that opportunity and spent 3 ½ at Ko Olina before feeling like I was ready for a new adventure"
Nick wasn't sure what he wanted to do but he thoroughly enjoys helping others so when an opportunity came to help veterans become homeowners Nick jumped to the opportunity. Though the mortgage industry wasn't on his radar before, he realized how rewarding it can be to help people achieve one of the biggest milestones of their life, (owning a home), and he knew he found his calling.
"Assisting people in the journey of accomplish their dreams of homeownership is so rewarding and fulfilling. It is such a great feeling and pleasure to be involved in that experience on a daily basis!"
